Appointment Information
What to Expect
FIRST APPOINTMENT
During your first session your counsellor will begin by getting to know you, exploring your background, and understanding your reasons for seeking therapy. This initial meeting helps us to establish goals for our work together.
SUBSEQUENT APPOINTMENT
In subsequent sessions the emphasis is on your individual goals and needs. Some clients find value in having a confidential space to share their thoughts and feelings with an empathetic listener, while others may seek guidance in developing strategies to address particular challenges. Your therapist will work with you to create a personalized approach that best supports you.
APPOINTMENT FREQUENCY
We often find it’s helpful to meet regularly, such as on a weekly basis, for the first number of sessions to best make progress in our work together. However, counselling and therapy appointments are highly individualized. The frequency and number of sessions will depend on your specific goals and needs. We will work together to determine an appropriate schedule and recommended protocol that best supports you.
